What would PLS do with a half million dollars? Peace Lutheran School would create a Technology Club and update the computer lab. We'd also like to add IPod Touches and IPads, as well as photo and video editing software for our students to use. Kohl's Cares is donating $500,000 to 20 schools for a total of $10 million this fall. The schools with the most votes win. Here's how you can help. Visit facebook.com/kohls. Then click on "Vote Now for Our School". Select PLS to see Chad Luerssen's Dream Big Idea" for this project. You can vote 5 times for Peace. Please vote and spread this information to everyone you know around the world. The more votes we get the better our chances.

LIFE IS TOUGH BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL! - A new book discussion group is beginning this fall, using the book. Life is Tough, but GOD is Faithful: How to see God's Love in Difficult Times. We'll meet on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM beginning September 14 and finishing up October 26 (6 weeks). The book (by author Sheila Walsh) not only covers trusting God during the difficult times in our lives, but also includes a Bible study on Job. We'll cover 2 chapters (about 30 pages) each session. The book is engaging and easy to read, and it's an interesting and different way to get into the Word of God. We'll do the study portion together, and the answers are even in the back of the book! The cost of the book is $12.00. Please sign up at the Information Center or call the church office by August 30. If you have questions, call Paula Breuzmann at 715-623-4487 or email at paula@peaceantigo.org.
